The Ergo-Surg Pro 1 is a high-quality, fully stainless-steel, custom designed equine surgery table, developed with the input of top equine surgeons working in high case load hospitals. We focused on maximising ergonomics for both the surgeon and patient, quick and stable positioning of the patient, as well as life-long durability.
A table easily adaptable to every patient size, both in dorsal and lateral recumbency. The unique Ergo-Surg Pro 1 leg supports are designed to allow for ergonomic access and maximum freedom of motion around the limbs. The multifunctional side bars allow for fixation of the operated limb in the most ideal position for both the surgeon and patient.
This exclusive table is manufactured on request and comes with 2 sets of specially designed memory foam cushions, fully resistant to water, blood and disinfectants. The ergonomic design which includes the rounded edges of the stainless steel table, prevent build up of dirt and allows for easy cleaning and disinfecting between patients.
Dr. Hans Wilderjans
Hans is a senior surgeon at Bosdreef Equine Hospital, with more than 30 years of surgical experience, encompassing a high volume and extensive range of equine surgeries. He is a well-recognised frequent speaker at national and international specialist level and is the author of multiple scientific publications and book chapters regarding orthopaedic and laparoscopic surgery.
As the hands-on architect and designer of the Ergo-Surg Pro 1 equine surgical table, Hans closely directs throughout the planning, replanning and development stages. He researched and sourced highly skilled engineers to deploy advanced engineering principles, resulting in a cleverly engineered equine surgical table, that meets the ergonomic needs of the patient, the surgical team, and the theatre and hygiene teams.
Hans has ensured that this table fulfils all of the design challenges, such as durability (complete stainless-steel construction) and flexibility/ adjustability, so that rapid major and minor, positional adjustments are available, thereby optimizing full comfortable surgical access to all sites. This has been achieved through continued assessment of the table's performance, within his busy equine surgical practice.
