This video demonstrates the Ergo-Surg Pro 1 equine surgery table, for positioning horses in dorsal recumbency.

Numerous improvements have been made compared to the traditional equine surgery table. Quick and stable positioning of any sized patient in dorsal recumbency is possible using the specially designed and automatic locking shoulder supports.

The use of several side panels along the length of the table is no longer necessary to keep the horse in balance. 

A multifunctional side bar along the entire length of the table allows  for positioning of the limb posts and additional items wherever needed.

The head and neck support are adjustable to both left and right as well as up and down.
There is full ergonomic access to the patient at any time, regardless of the horse's size. The specially designed front feet support allows for optimal surgical access to all joints in both flexion and extension.

The cushions contain a top layer of memory foam and are strong  and resistant to water, blood and disinfectants. An extra memory foam topping is available for long surgical procedures.

The shoulder support can be moved and fixed along the entire length of the side bars.

First the horse is positioned on the table in the most ideal position for the surgeon and type of surgery. Then the shoulder support is adapted to the horse’s position, not the other way round. This allows an optimal ergonomic positioning for both the patient and surgeon, no matter the size of the horse.

The shoulder supports are positioned at the shoulder joint/humerus of the horse. With one hand only, the shoulder pads can be moved upwards and pushed inwards against both shoulders. The shoulder supports will lock automatically and can be released using the handles. There is no need for extra cushions or side flaps to stabilize the patient.

In heavier horses, two hindquarter rotating side plates, can be added to keep the hindquarters of the horse in perfect balance. These plates come with their own cushion.

They are designed in such a way that full surgical access is always available to the stifle joint, including the lateral aspect.

These rotating side plates can also be used as additional side plates or platforms for material or to support the lower neck in lateral recumbency.

Two extra side plates are provided. They come with a rod to attach the limb supports.

Support can be provided from the level of the carpus and hock joints to the entire distal limb.

Support can also be provided by independent additional free standing leg supports.
